On February 12, 2025, 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM PT, an experimental birthday party will take place at USC’s One Archives including the four formats of Kaya Micro Operas, an exhibition celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Kaya Press, Literaoke featuring USC faculty and students and panel discussion. Using inter-disciplinary strategies, Kaya Press along with its Artist-in-residence, Nakagawa, proposes an alternative approach to archiving: link

This is Alan’s third contract with the Gerth Archives. The Library received a ten source collection of the campaign for redress and reparations for the 120,000 Japanese Americans who were wrongfully imprisoned in concentration camps by the US Government during World War II.
